Innovations of Note

  • As a university academic, Dr Simeoni’s main focus was on teaching and service (especially as a First Year Student Advisor), rather than research.  Nevertheless Dr Simeoni’s publication portfolio contains well over ten genuine innovations or discoveries as identified below.  These innovations/discoveries also represent an extremely wide diversity of research topics (which do not consider earlier pre-2000s works in areas such as medical and atomic/quantum physics) and where possible are written to assist non-expert readability.  Few, if any other, academics could undertake such research diversity:

  1. The deconstruction and understanding of brain wave complexity and its quantum mechanical nature (latest research).
  2. An analytical extension to Bohr’s model of the hydrogen atom which matches the accuracy of Dirac’s relativist model (rated by Dr Simeoni as his favourite paper).
  3. The development of an original Fourier analysis algorithm with computational advantages.
  4. The development of a thermodynamics-based model of the “human body engine” which accurately models physiological aspects such as the slow component of oxygen uptake kinetics.
  5. The first researcher to apply bispectral analysis techniques to the electromyogram (EMG).
  6. The development of a mathematical model of rowing that is simple yet highly effective.
  7. The development of a highly original physics unification approach that includes precise electron mass generation and that is broadly readable (the first approach of its kind with some following soon after, and written for senior high school mathematics/physics students).
  8. The development of an original MRI reconstruction algorithm.
  9. The development of an original and digitally powerful phase-shift keying approach to radio wave communication with applications towards quantum computing.
  10. The first discovery of several mathematics-in-nature findings (e.g., evidence for the Fibonacci sequence within human brain waves and bird feathers, the identification of noble gas magic numbers in quark and quasar systems, and so on).
  11. Innovative educational papers in the areas of physics and instrumentation teaching.
  12. Software development for a portable instrumented communication aid for people with vocal disabilities.

  • Dr Simeoni has written the majority of the select research publications above as sole author, which is rare in today’s research world of often large teams and support networks.  For the remaining publications, as well as being the first and primary author, it is Neurodinger's position that Dr Simeoni is the sole concept initiator/discoverer and dominant developer with supporting developmental materials on record.

  • The exception to the above multi-author position is for the portable instrumented communication aid for people with vocal disabilities, that was presented at the 2003 World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering.  For that project Dr Simeoni’s students, under his supervision, carried out the substantial programming task for the development of his original concept (the communication aid was ahead of its time in 2003 and, while it still works extremely well, is superseded by today’s technology).
